August 2020 Meeting Minutes

The August Booster Club Board meeting was held on Thursday, August 6, 2020.

News

  • Update on Competitions for this fall

  • Varsity’s Virtual Competition Series

Fall Picnic

  • Budget will be determined once all Booster Club Dues have been collected.

  • Tentative date set for September 20th

  • Kona Ice Truck at team practices

  • Anne to review team practice schedule for scheduling teams by date.

Corporate Sponsorships

  • Revamped - Shining Stars which includes additional perks and revised sponsorship levels.

  • Anne to send email with details out to all gym members

  • Information to be sent through the BAND app.

  • Original due date was set at September 8th and it was decided to extend the deadline for submissions to September 18th.

BC Apparel

  • Brainstorming for ideas.

  • Group decided all will look for t-shirt design inspiration and share at our next meeting.

Contracts

  • Mary provided information on the number of paid vs unpaid dues

  • A third round of invoices will be sent out in the coming days

  • Should we consider requesting dues via Venmo.

  • A note regarding Venmo - for future fundraisers we cannot allow members to place orders via the Venmo notes.

  • No orders will be accepted through Venmo in the future.

Fundraising

  • Gift Card Fundraiser will begin on August 24th and extend through September 1st. Carla will redo the flyer.

  • August 31st will be the last day to turn in gift cards.

  • September 14th will be the last day to turn in all money and tickets.

  • Fundraising Favorites will be held in October. Kristin Drussel will organize.

  • Anne will post for volunteer group in her next email

  • Once Upon A Child - Antoinette provided an update. This would not be onsite. We can post a link as an opportunity but the Booster Club will not be leading this event.

Charity Events

  • First Responders 50/50 gift basket raffle - a possibility at Spirit Spectacular

  • City Union Mission - support with possible goodie bags or filling backpacks that we could deliver

  • Toys for Tots

  • Operation Break-Through Food Drive

Team Parents

  • All are in place with the exception of Fortune

  • First kick off meeting is August 18th.

  • Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

  • Will offer a virtual option for those who do not want to attend in person
