THE SUMMIT 2022:
It’s finally here! We are all so excited for the Summit 2022. The following email will help you prepare for our weekend in Florida. For those of you who have not traveled to Disney for a cheer competition , you will find some of this information very helpful as you prepare for travel. Be sure to watch the orientation video and join the Summit Spectator Band for the best way to stay informed.
Don’t forget you must link your Park Hopper pass to your myDisney app so that it registers your entry into ESPN and the Parks. Everyone will need a participant or spectator lanyard to ride the buses. Commuters (athletes & spectators) are not allowed to ride the buses to and from our hotel to the competition. Commuters will need to plan to meet your team at WSPN entrance at the designated time. Be sure to leave plenty of time for traffic and parking.
Please be on time when and where you should be, dressed in practice wear or uniform as directed. All athletes must have a tank top over practice wear when not at practice, and Senior level teams must always have their midriff covered when in uniform! Please always have gym or team tank top with you at all times.

All teams are scheduled for practices at Coronado Springs. Athletes should be dressed in new practice wear and bow with team tank top over. Athletes will need to provide their own transportation to Coronado Springs for practice.
All teams will do pictures with Jamie Christian on Friday evening. Please be dressed in new practice wear, matching bow, natural makeup and red lips. Hair should be in a high, teased, straight ponytail.
Athletes are allowed to go to parks after practices on Friday as long as they are back to their rooms by curfew at 10:30 p.m. Keep in mind that buses do take a long time so please allow at least 45 minutes to an hour to get back to the hotel.
SATURDAY, APRIL 30, 2022
All teams will compete on Saturday in the Semi Final Round. Coaches will let you know where to meet at the hotel. Team members are required to watch ALL KC CHEER TEAMS. Plan to bring everything you need with you for the day to ESPN.

Teams that signed up for 2 picture sessions with Jamie Christian will take their uniform pics after they compete, at ESPN. Coaches will set times to meet with teams and review scoring, as well as set any necessary practices. Reveals for advancement will be posted in the Summit Band app.
CURFEW IS 10:30 IN ROOM AND LIGHTS OUT AT 11:00 P.M.

Sunday’s schedule will be determined by placements from the Wildcard and Semi Final rounds. Reveals for teams advancing will be posted on Saturday approximately one hour after the end of the division. You can find the block schedule for Finals in the Summit Band.
KC Cheer team’s schedule for Sunday will be posted here once all reveals are complete.

Summit Finals Schedule - Sunday May 1st
All Teams will meet coaches at hotel or ESPN as indicated below. Please be dressed and ready when you meet your coach.

Athletes not competing in finals are asked to come cheer on ALL KC CHEER teams. Please be dressed in Red Hooded Tank and Black Shorts.

MONDAY, APRIL 25TH
Fiesta - Arrive at 6:30 - Perform at 7:15
Force - Arrive at 6:45 - Perform at 7:30
Fab 4 - Arrive at 7:00 - Perform at 8:00
TUESDAY, APRIL 26TH
Fever - Arrive at 6:15 - Perform at 7:15
Ferocious - Arrive at 6:30 - Perform at 7:30
Freedom - Arrive at 7:00 - Perform at 8:00
Flawless - Arrive at 7:15 - Perform at 8:15
Teams should arrive in designated SEND OFF attire. Coaches will let you know what your team is wearing.
Please use locker rooms for backpacks and extras. It will be crowded, so limit what you bring with you.
Teams will warm up in the West Gym and Perform in the New Gym.
Parents and Spectators should arrive 10 minutes prior to the team performances. Please allow fans of the performing team to stand in the front.
Coaches will dismiss athletes when they have completed a review with each team. If your team has regular practice on Wednesday, this is still happening unless otherwise determined by the coaching staff.
