We are so excited to be competing this weekend at Rockstar Championships being held at the Hyvee Arena (1800 Genessee St, KCMO 64102) Athletes & Coaches have been working very hard inside and outside the gym for this opportunity! The competition is going to be different with many safety restrictions in place for all who chose to attend. In the following information you will find all the guidelines we are expected to follow to make this event successful and safe for everyone. We cannot stress enough how important it is that EVERYONE read and follow all timeframes, ticketing, masking and entering and exit times listed in this information. The better WE do by following the rules, the greater the chances of competitions continuing to happen this season.
Most importantly, spectators MUST adhere to the enter and exit times for each team. Should you choose to leave after your athlete’s performance you are welcome to do so, but you are not allowed to stay longer than the times posted. We realize in some cases this may mean you walk your athlete up to the entrance to meet their coach but are not allowed in as a spectator until a bit later, these are just the rules. Please be on time to meet your coach as we do not have time to wait on athletes who arrive late.
Spectator Tickets (limited to 2 per athlete) must be purchased in advance using the link that Rockstar will be emailing as well as posting on their Facebook page.
All information regarding COVID policies & procedures can be found on the Rockstar website, www.rockstarchampionships.com
You can find a complete schedule on the Rockstar Facebook page-Rockstar Championships
All information regarding meet times, performance times, entrance and exit times for spectators is listed below for all KC Cheer athletes and families.
Athlete information:
Athletes arrive dressed and ready to compete when they meet their coach at the Main Entrance
Athletes are allowed to bring their own water (only water bottles with lids)
Hair and Make-up is the same as Showcase for each team
Athletes should wear black tank top over their uniform when not competing
Athletes should have their KC Cheer mask to be worn at all times, except when on the competition floor. Note -Should you and your athlete prefer they compete in their mask they are more than welcome to do so. Your mask came in a ziplock bag, we would like each athlete to have their ziplock with their name on it with them so that coaches can collect masks after the practice room and return to athlete after they compete
Athletes will be dismissed to their families after they perform and have reviewed routine with coach
Again, all athletes are allowed to leave after they compete if you choose to do so. You do not have to wait for your listed exit time. Awards will be virtual on the Rockstar FB page, one hour after the last team competes. All awards will be mailed to the gym on Monday following the event.
Please follow the table below for all Check In and Performance Times. If you have any questions please email Kristi Whitney at kristi@kccheer.com
